Hey Local Guides Family!!

​I’m really happy to share a special milestone for me. I hosted my very first Local Guides meet-up, and honestly, it turned out to be even better than I imagined.

​On December 28th, 2025, with the thoughtful guidance and support of the incredible Connect Moderator @NareshDarji , I successfully hosted a Scavenger Hunt Meet-up at the vibrant Ahmedabad Shopping Festival.

​The Squad:

We were a group of 14 enthusiastic Local Guides who traveled from Gandhinagar, Vadodara and Ahmedabad to play, explore, and connect. It was heartwarming to see so many new faces ready to start this journey!

​The Adventure Begins

The venue quickly transformed into our playground. With phones charged, water bottles ready, and comfortable shoes on, we let out a loud cheer and the Scavenger Hunt began!

​Using the Let’s Roam app, we dove straight into the challenges. We chased clues into narrow corners and solved riddles that tested our teamwork. Every solved challenge felt like a small victory!

• ​📸 Creativity: Some paused to capture artistic shots of local landmarks.

• ​📍 Impact: Others focused on real-time contributions to Google Maps—adding storefront photos, updating menus, and verifying details.

​Chai & Conversations

By 4:30 PM, we hit pause for everyone’s favorite fuel—Chai! This was the magic moment. People who had met just a few hours ago were chatting and laughing like old friends.

​Energized, we headed to the nearby Oxygen Park. The vibe shifted from the busy festival to pure peace. We enjoyed the greenery, clicked beautiful group selfies, and just soaked in the nature. It no longer felt like an “event”—it felt like a family hanging out.

​A Perfect Ending

As a beautiful evening settled in, the sky painted itself in stunning colors. We gathered around 6:00 PM for one last bite to eat and shared plates with full hearts. Stories continued to flow, and honestly, no one was in a hurry to leave.

​The day ended with points earned, photos captured, and memories made.

The scavenger hunt was really fun and Monte Carlo Park is a very good place to explore together. Google Maps

Great tea and some snacks at Frizbee Google Maps made it even better.

What an incredible day! I’m so glad I joined. As someone who is usually tied up with work and doesn’t go out often, this was a perfect way to break the routine and make new friends. The scavenger hunt was so much fun!
