#LocalGuides Get-Together 2024, Dhaka
Hello, Local Guides!
Local Guides Bangla organized a Local Guides Get-Together in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We also held a similar event last year, and we hope to continue this tradition annually to inspire Local Guides in Bangladesh.
The event started at 10:00 AM with registration, and around 40 Local Guides from different districts joined us. We kicked off with introductions, where attendees shared their experiences with Local Guides and Google Maps. Everyone was excited to talk about their contributions and the impact it had on their lives.
We discussed:
- The importance of quality contributions to Google Maps.
- How Local Guidesâ efforts benefit both individuals and the community.
- Engaging with the Local Guides Connect forum for learning and networking.
As the host, I talked about quality guiding and the significance of Google Maps and its services in daily life.

@NahidHossain and his Rajshahi Local Guides team joined virtually.
**Guest Speaker: @PavelSarwar ** shared an inspiring Local Guides story.
@SumaiyaZafrin gave valuable advice on avoiding spam contributions and encouraged active participation on the Connect forum to represent Bangladesh.
After the Jumma prayer, we had lunch together, followed by the Google event gifts registration before wrapping up the event.
