Recap: [In-Person] Bangladesh, May 31, Celebrating Global Accessibility👩‍🦽‍➡️Awareness Day 2026

Hello everyone,

Last Thursday, 21^st of May 2026, was the 15^th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) and we have celebrated the GAAD 2026 on the Sunday, 31^st of May 2026 in Mymensingh, Bangladesh.

On that day we gathered at Charpara, it is just opposite the Mymensingh Medical Collage and Hospital to celebrate the GAAD 2026 and to create awareness about the GAAD. We arrived at just after 10am on the spot and started our program, but due to extreme hot weather, we could not continue for a longtime outdoor activity.

We have a short discussion about the GAAD 2026 and the purpose of it with others; after that we have visited few places to check the Accessibility facilities in that area and talk with Business owners and local people about accessibility and why we need to add accessibility facilities.

The purpose was to celebrate of the GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion of the peoples with different disabilities.
