Inspired by the Spam-Free Local Maps campaign, I actively participated in improving map accuracy by identifying and correcting misleading or incorrect listings in my local area. The goal was to ensure reliable and trustworthy information for Google Maps users, as map spam—such as wrong categories or fake places—can create confusion and reduce usability.
During my contribution, I focused on verifying locations, correcting categories, and submitting meaningful edits to enhance data quality. Even small efforts play an important role in keeping the map clean and useful for everyone.
