I conducted a meetup to add, update and make necessary edits to the Google Maps information of many Medicine shops located at Mograpara Chowrasta. It was open to everyone. The meetup verified and updated the current location, name, category, contact information, opening hours and other relevant information of the medicine shops.
The discussion highlighted several areas for improving the presence of pharmacies on Google Maps. These include optimizing and regularly updating map data to ensure accurate location details and easier navigation for customers. This initiative aims to enhance the online visibility of the stores and help general users quickly find the correct location and relevant information in the future.
I also update information of wheelchair accessibility. Among all of these i found only 2 pharmacy have wheelchair accessible.
The problem I faced:
In this meetup I had face a problem. After adding 3 pharmacies to the map, the fourth one was not submitting. And later I could not add any more. However, after a day, after trying again with all the information, I was able to add one. Then it was not adding anymore. I do not know if there is any limit to adding places of the same category to the map at the same time in a day..! Hopefully, I will get this answer from experienced senior local guides. I can’t remember the last time I was able to add a pharmacy directly to Google Maps. I had to take a different approach. I add the pharmacies under “Medical Supplies Store” category. After they get approved, I change the category to Pharmacy. When I try to add the pharmacy under “Pharmacy” category directly, they remain pending for a long time and eventually get declined.
Great job with the medicine shop updates in Mograpara! Really helpful work that improves Maps for everyone, thanks @Soykot_azam brother for organizing this!
Thanks @mrinmoiHossain@MohammadPalash @SadmanRafid you are right. I apply directly pharmacy category & approved after 10-20 minutes but there was a problem on submitting for new place added. submit is not working. i share it on videos.
Thank you very much @TsekoV . I hope the technical team will respond to your creation token in time and this problem will be resolved. However, this requires a permanent solution. I hope the technical team will take this type of problem seriously.
