Recap: [In-Person] Bangladesh, February 01, PhotoWalk to Celebrate 10 years of Local Guides

This is the RECAP I hosted a special PhotoWalk Meet-up To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Local Guides in the scenic city of Barishal. This event was an incredible opportunity for me to capture beautiful moments, update Google Maps, explore the hidden gems of our city and make meaningful contributions.

As per the plan we arrived at the Barisal Launch Ghat within the scheduled time and didn’t miss the chance to make a Update and I added another update. I gave a round of the entire launch terminal and took helpful photos of it at various places and uploaded it on Google Maps. After finishing the contribution at Launch Ghat, we boarded a small launch and left for Laharhat. The journey was an experience to remember traveling through the calm waters, we captured the mesmerizing views of the river, the local fishing boats and the golden glow of the setting sun.

Our journey started at the Kirtankhola river after a short distance our launch slowly entered the Bukhainagar river. The narrowness of the Bukhainagar river offers scenic views on both sides, making for an intimate and pleasant experience. I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of the surroundings, enjoying every moment in wonder and trying to capture it on camera.

After some time we reached Charmona bridge there I recorded a video from the river and uploaded it on google maps.
Then we reach Saheber Hat Kheyaghat and contributed there. Our launch went again to Rajarchar and contributed there. After that our launch goes straight to Laharhat without stopping anywhere and we get down there and contributed. There was an opportunity to contribute to Laharhat Jame Masjid. To support local small businesses I was able to add a place on Google Maps and capture a store front photo. We went to a local tea shop. We complete the contribution there while eating tea and buttered bread. We continue our contribution by visiting different places there. We ensured that key places had updated information, including accessibility details, opening hours, and photos.

There we continued our contributions by updating details of local shops. Throughout the meetup, we focused on our commitment to enhancing Google Maps. As a we successfully contributed, ensuring accurate and helpful information for future travelers and residents.
These contributions will not only help users navigate the city better but also support local businesses by improving their visibility.

We boarded a bus to CharKawa Kheya Ghat and made some contribution there a trawler crossed Chor River to Barisal Kheyaghat don’t missed the chance to contribute.
We end our journey at Barishal Kheya Ghat, marking the successful conclusion of our 10th Anniversary Local Guides PhotoWalk Meetup. The event was filled with exploration and contribution, leaving us with beautiful memories and valuable contributions.
