Hello Local Guides community! 
We just wrapped up our hybrid meetup Explore • Connect • Share right in the heart of Hyderabad! Whether joining in person amidst the greenery of Chacha Nehru Park or tuning in virtually, Local Guides came together to share ideas, explore park features, and celebrate our collective mapping journey.
Here is a quick photo recap of how the event unfolded:
1. Connecting Across Distances (Virtual Session) 
We opened the meetup by welcoming our virtual participants via Google Meet. It was fantastic to hear updates, mapping tricks, and contribution goals from members joining online.

2. Park Exploration & Accessibility Check 
We took a walk around Chacha Nehru Park, Masab Tank to audit park details and gather updated photos for Google Maps:
Scenic Waterfront: Captured views of the central lake and surrounding greenery.
Creative Infrastructure: Documented unique park amenities, such as the tree-trunk-style “Use Me” waste bins and shaded pergola seating areas.

3. Great Conversations & Custom Badges 
Under the park’s shaded pavilion, local attendees gathered to introduce themselves, exchange local tips, and enjoy snacks together. Every in-person attendee took home a custom-designed “I was part of the Hyderabad Local Guides Meetup 2026” souvenir badge and bookmark as a memory of the day!
4. The Classic “Phones on the Table” Moment 
No Local Guides meetup is complete without the signature phone layout! We lined up our devices on the table displaying our Google Maps profiles, contribution levels, and badges.
