@TravellerG is a fatherly figure in the Indian LG community.
So a grand mega meetup hosted by him was most awaited.
Local guides from all over India traveled to Bangalore, now called Bengaluru.
We had booked tickets months in advance.
@Raj_Tayade traveled 250 km from Aurangabad to Pune.
Then we traveled another 850 km to Bengaluru by train for almost 27 hrs to reach the lavish mansion owned by TravellerG, from here on TG.
At his home, TG extended a dream hospitality and companionship along with his beloved and respected family members. For two days, we ate, enjoyed drinks, discussed late into the night, and had several rounds of tea both inside and outside his home.
The next day, @MathanVibranarayan joined us and also presented amazing gifts that he had carried from his hometown, Madurai.
After that, we kicked off the all-day meetup at the iconic Vishveshwaraiya Museum
We enjoyed the various artifacts and galleries inside and the amazing skyline of Bengaluru outside. Here’s our first group photo.
After that, we settled in the amazing Cubbon Park.
Here, Me, @AjitThite, TG, and Madan inaugurated the banner and logo designs for Madurai Local Guides and Tamilnadu Local Guides.
Madan also gave us lovely statues or Moorthis of Meenakshi Amman as a memorabily.
After this, TG did the coronation
of all local guides by presenting them the #TeamIndia caps.
There were no ends to gifts from TG.
He also gave a beautiful mobile stand and holdees to everyone.
Here’s our group photo with the India Local Guides banner.
We also posed with the INDIA LOCAL GUIDES icons.
Everyone was so happy as the meetup went well and was enjoyable - thanks to TG’s month-long preparations ahead of the meetup.
Led by TG, we did a nature walk towards the Karnataka state Vidhan Soudha or Capitol building.
Everyone was full of energy and enthusiasm.
Here’s our great grand meetup photo at the Vidhana Saudha building.
TG then drove us to our next destination - Food at a Udupi Hotel.
We enjoyed fabulous food with a lot of variety and also drinks.
Finally, we took a group photo to show how happy we were at the meetup.
All food and drinks were sponsored by the generous and large-hearted TG whose love and affection knows no bounds. He is a gem
among the gems ![]()
Finally, we gathered at the LalBaug Botanical Garden for more tea and tea talks and the virtual meetup.
This mega meetup in south India was a huge success, thanks to several weeks and months of planning and efforts put in by TravellerG. He has infinite energy and patience and a lot of experience under his belt for organizing huge meetups and functions.
We all departed with the promise of meeting again
