It is always good to host a knowledge sharing meetup in a month. It helps local guides to share and gain more knowledge about what we are doing and things to improve in our contribution as a Local Guide.
In vol 1 there were all topics to discuss and also in Q&A. Local guides were confused and this time it was for only map editing issues and photography on maps.
Local Guides joined from various parts of the world and shared their knowledge. It was great to meet more like-minded local guides.
- @AmbrishVarshney @JMD9 @NareshDarji @Alphee @AdarshUmangRaj @BijohnAdams @RosyKohli & @Sandeepnirvan & others from India
- Erna from the USA
- @JanVanHaver from Belgium
- @Ddimitra from Indonesia & many others
A huge thanks to all the attendees for sharing their valuable insights about maps.

Meetup album link can be found here.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Hi @deepakjhic ,
Thanks for sharing this recap!
What were the topics that you’ve discussed this time? I’m happy to see that you are helping each other with sharing knowledge about Google Maps. Do you think virtual meet-ups are better, because you can meet with Local Guides from other countries?

Hi @Petra_M ,

In map editing local guides asked below questions and what we have shared:
- How to improve our contribution through check the facts section (as it works based on the crowdsourcing)
- Possible to add a listing without business without a physical address.
- Edit was pending for more than 2 months?
- possible to submit edit when it is already pending and more.
Photography:
- How to delete photos from the contribution as it is not easy to remove using android.
- Is it good to add a photo while adding a new listing on maps?
- Photo quality & more.

In case of knowledge sharing meet-up I’d say yes, it was a new experience when we started hosting virtual meetups. Local guides can share more insights while they are sitting at home and freely can note points, on the other hand, physical meetups are just for moving from one place to another. I had hosted many meetups in New Delhi but it is always hard to sit somewhere and introduce local guides to each other and share knowledge.
