Durga Puja is the biggest festival of ‘festival loving Bengalis’. Bengalis all over the world celebrate this festival with grandeur. Goddess Durga killed Mahishasura, hence it is believed that this festival celebrates the victory of good forces by annihilating evil forces.
Durga Puja means the sound of Dhak’s, the chat of pandals, new clothes, gatherings with friends, best wishes, love and pray for each other. This year the enthusiasm of Durga festival was more than previous years, because this year Durga festival has been recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
This year’s Durga Festival has already ended. On the 4th day of this festival i.e. on Navami day (4th October), I organized a Photowalk meetup with several of my friends. I am now going to share with you the details about that meetup. Hope you enjoy it.
It should be noted that the purpose of this meetup was not only to have a Photowalk. Several of my friends expressed their enthusiasm to join the program after hearing details about the local guide program. Basically, the main purpose of this meetup was to teach them hands-on how to we contribute to the map.
Our meetup starts from Kaitora Sarbojanin Durga Temple. From here we visited around 10 temples with 5 motorcycles. And besides photographing all those temples we also edited the map.
Temples we visited in this meetup:
Kaitora Sarbojanin Durga Temple
Gongathorpotti Sarbojonin Temple
Nagpara Sharbajanin Puja Mandir
Malakar Bari Durga Temple, Baniajuri
I would like to share with you some pictures taken during the meetup. These pictures I took with Samsung Galaxy A50s.
Here is a video about Durga Puja 2022. This video was recorded by me on my mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy A50s).
Hope the joy of this Durga festival touches all of you. And Maa Durga illuminates your way to success.
May Durga Puja bring happiness to our family.
