On a bright sunny Sunday afternoon, six Local guides from different walks of life gathered to explore the magnificent, stunning and mesmerizing pride of Hyderabad, Chowmahalla Palace.
@FazeelUsmani , Chakri, Chandu, Nagamohan, Sankalp and I gathered at the ticket counter and after brief exchange of pleasantries we set of on our photo walk to explore this fourteen acre huge palace.
Then main palace Durbar still has the aura, magnificence in it with its huge chandeliers, white marble floors and art-deco ceiling, it transposes you into the royal era which is an awesome feeling.
There is halls depicting the life and times of different rulers in the dynasty and the royal seals used by different rulers, it was eye opening to know all the important buildings, infrastructure projects, schools, hospitals etc. which were constructed all those centuries back are still in use and benefiting all of us.
Yes, it’s a very pleasent Royal Elegance to watch…one should attend this type of Ancient things to refresh our Historical monuments. Happy to be in the meet up.!!
Yeah it was nice meeting you, @AslamMo and other passionate local guides and have a walk across Chowmohalla Palace; a museum where the history is being captured and shown in the present. Everything including the chandeliers, sofa set, beds and kitchen appliances are kept as it is and preserved for visitors. Do you know this place also won a UNESCO well preserved sites in 2010?
Have a visit to experience the royal lifestyle of the Nawabs (rulers of Hyderabad). It’s pretty awesome.
I absolutely love hosting and attending meet-ups, i think i have hosted ten and attended around thirty meet-ups, got the opportunity to attend Local guides summit in 2017 as well!
Lots of things @VasT , most importantly meeting passionate local guides from different walks of life, improving maps for everyone with accurate information and showcasing Hyderabad in all its glory!
