Just some days ago, when we entered in the lockdown period and before this period I never expected that we can get superb ideas from Local Guides Connect to meet people virtually, which is kinda difficult to do in person.
So I thought about it, and discussed this idea with my friend & Co Host of The Meetup @AmbrishVarshney , and simultaneously he had the same idea in his mind that if we should arrange a virtual meetup of Local guides from Sub continent India and Pakistan.
Thanks to Ambrish who arranged all the things to do and implied this idea instantly.
“People who don’t know about subcontinents, India and Pakistan speak almost the same Language. In India, it’s called Hindi and we call it Urdu, with some differences we can understand each other’s languages very well. That’s the reason Indian movies are very popular in Pakistan, and Pakistani TV serials are famous in India.”
So the day we met, I literally couldn’t sleep the whole night because of the sparkling excitement.
Again, I would like to say thanks to Ambrish, @TravellerG , @StephenAbraham , @NareshDarji , @khawajamazhar Deepak Kumar , @Tejal @Muhammad_Usman , @MSulaiman ,Aslam Shehzad , @azharmasood786 who made this event successful with other48 attendees of the meetup.
The meetup started with the introduction, and local guides from both countries were extremely excited to talk with each other.
After introduction, we started discussing about the improvement of Local Guides program Contributions , TravellerG sir gave us great tips to the participants of the meetup.
Then we started an endless discussion about specialty of regions of indo-pak , and it was quite interesting, it was started by Indian movies, Pakistani Dramas, Karachi Biryani , Gujarat’s Dhokla, Masala Dosa from Chennai, Lahore and Amritsar’s Chholey Naan and it didn’t end till the end of the meetup
The meetup was about two hours long, and we literally had to beg in order to close down the event as it was the very first time for everybody and nobody was in the mood to go as everybody was enjoying themselves.
I hope these amazing moments will never end and all of us will reunite very soon, even if it has to be virtual
Shukriya
