RECAP: Awka Independence Meet Up
The meet up scheduled on 6th October 2019 started few minutes past 2pm with an attendance of over 50 persons. The environment was filled with people wearing a touch of green or white in their outfits At Fides Media Garden, Awka.
The meet up started with a brief introduction of the local guides programme. I explained the importance of volunteers mapping the world and spreading our culture through food crawl meet ups and writing about them on connect.
Some questions were entertained about the programme and most people were more interested on the benefits of the programme.
At the end of the meet up, we had two varieties of meals, Onugbo Soup which was delayed and was brought to the venue late. We also had Goat Pepper Soup and Agidi were used at the meet up. We also made fruit salad at the event. The meet up was also an opportunity to mark my birthday and to celebrate my existence as a Nigerian at the Awka Independence Day Meet Up.
To mark the end of the meet up, we all ate and drank in celebration of my birthday. Special Thanks to @Mayford , @ChinonsoOnukwugha and every Local Guides who keyed into organizing and celebrating Nigeria at her Independence Day
