RECAP - Accessibility Meetup in Pune at Terrasinne Restaurant

On Saturday 1 June 2024, I attended a meetup hosted by @AjitThite .
This was rescheduled at my request since I was traveling overseas.
Thank you, Ajit, for that :handshake:

The venue was Terrasinne Restaurant in Pune.

Terrasinne means Inclusively Delicious, and they have international, farm-to-table specialties & desserts dished up in an airy, laid-back venue.

The restaurant is an elegant dining destination that prides itself on using ethically sourced ingredients for its culinary creations

Their entire staff was differently abled yet delivered impressive customer service.
This business is also women-owned.

Additionally, they have accessibility features for visitors as well.

The entrance is also welcoming for wheelchair-bound people.

The sidewalk footpath outside the restaurant has a tactile path for visually impaired blind people.

We settled down quickly and also involved local guides all over the world via Google Meet.

We ordered food after that.
The differently-abled staff helped in every way to order food.

• We used various hand signs, and gestures to communicate with the staff.
• Some of the staff were dumb but not deaf, so we could talk to them directly.
• Some of the staff was visually impaired while others had intellectual disability yet could communicate very well.

A lot of goodies like badges and stickers were exchanged at the meetup.

Ajit Thite distributed a bookmark to everyone.
This bookmark has the logos and icons for Pune Local Guides + photo collages from the previous meetups.

All attendees also signed a beautiful card that read 'I attended an India Local Guides Meetup’.

This card was then retained by attendees as a souvenir.

I also shared with everyone the badge with the new design of the India Local Guides Logo.
The badge has Indian cultural elements like elephants, peacock feathers, and the Buddha silhouette.

This is designed together by me and Shubhangi Patil @Shubhu1

At the end of the meetup, we posed for various group photos.

Finally, we thanked the staff of the Terrasinne Restaurant for their exemplary service and memories.

Very interesting RECAP, dear @TusharSuradkar

Even now, the cover photo is very interesting to me - very unique and impressive!

Of course other photos are also very good.

Photo #5… Does it accommodate all the Attendees?

Photo #6 … The collage is very interesting - nicely conceived and presented!

Terrasinne Restaurant looks very interesting . I read that the name means “Terra” = “Earth” and “sinne” = “Cuisines” - Great!

How do they pronounce it?

Thanks to you all for accommodating as for the virtual meet-up - of course, our host did a brief walkthrough of the restaurant.

Thank you for sharing this RECAP with us.

Regards
