Recap: Abuja: 10th Local Guides & 20th Maps Anniversary

I was so excited that I will meet other Local Guides from Abuja after long time.

But turns out to be opposite because no body show up.

As usual I am use to having solo meet up and this one was not different.

while waiting I take the opportunity to make some map edits and add some review of places that I visited recently.

After waiting for 2hrs I enjoy the meal and Tea (Yes I placed order of food for 10 Persons) I ate one plate and take home the remaining which on my way home I gave it to some homeless people in my area. (this makes me more happy)

Anyway… It was great because prior to my meet up I attended a virtual meet up organised by @JanVanHaver and it was very informative and fun celebrating virtually the 10th & 20th Anniversary of Local Guide programme and Google Maps respectively.

Looking forward to more great celebrations as this is a year of celebrations.

It’s sad that you were alone in your meetup, when there are alot of Local Guides there.
But it doesn’t matter, you are one man army, and I believe you did a job equal to 10 local guides in the meetup.

I really agree with you Naresh; sometimes we do a lot when we are alone than when we are in group.
