Hello Local Guides,
I am glad to say, last Friday (24th November) evening, the meetup organized under the banner of BDLG A Delightful Evening with Local Guide Friends and Delicious Coffee! ended successfully. As the host, it’s time to write a recap of the meetup.
Basically, at the end of November the temperature of our country starts to decrease. The mood of winter begins. In the afternoon there is no chat without tea or coffee. And, we are coffee lovers who received the tumbler from Google as a gift, some of them expressed their desire to have coffee together. And with that initiative, I host this Meetup at the request of everyone. And we decided the venue of our meetup at the popular coffee house North End Coffee Roasters located in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
The total number of local guides participating in this meetup including @MahabubMunna @AbdusSattar @Ayeshashimu @Mazharul_BDLG @AbirAryan @Papel_Mahammud @IshtiakAhmed @rezakawser @engrNasir was 16 local guide’s. All of them arrived at Venu by 4:00 PM at the appointed time from Dhaka and neighboring areas of Dhaka. And I officially start the meetup by welcoming each participant.
In short, this meetup was very productive. In this meetup we discuss a lot about the goal of improving the map. ‘Local Guide Mahabub Munna’ guides us on how we can contribute more quality to the map.
The topics of discussion were:
- How to improve Google Maps.
- How to add a new place and new road to Google Maps.
- How to write a useful review about a place.
- About the upcoming ‘BDLG 10th Years Celebration Meetup’.
About North End Coffee Roasters:
Best place for hangout with friends. Very spacious, very cozy, and a beautiful environment. The quality of their coffee and food is excellent. And dessert items are delicious. I think this is one of the best coffee shops in town. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. High secure large paid parking lot available. And wheelchair accessibility is available.
We ended our meeting around 7 pm. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed this post!
Regards~
