What I love sharing the most of Google maps are places I have been so others may see them.
As a combat disabled vet with PTSD. That is slowly losing my mobility I like to go and document places so I or others may see them. I also picked up being a local guild and 360 Photographer as a way to avoid being One the 22 a day that lost their battle to PTSD.
I have taken a VR headset on a regular basis to the Local V.A. hospital so vets who are confined to the hospital / Home may see places they have been or would like to see but can no longer travel to. For whatever reason.
One of my big projects, Iām slowly working is to Photo Document the Local Veterans Cemeteries around me. In Hampton Roads, we have Graves that date back to the Civil war and are slowly fading to the point you can no longer read the headstones. So, by photographing and placing on google maps others may still be able to read them in the future and my grandson who is 3 can take his grandson when he is my age and show him the history of the cemeteries even though they may not be able to read the headstones any more. And of course, Cemeteries, in general, have a lot of interesting History in them and I make Videos and take Photos that bring my subject matter points home.https://youtu.be/WsMTQMWlic0
I do not write a lot since I have Dyslexia and Grammar issues since becoming Disabled, they have become more pronounced. But I do believe is a regular photo is worth a thousand words a 360 photo must be worth a million then and I try and find that and take that photo that will make you think of a million words.
this is 110 ft above Deck f the Arc Gloria tall ship.
. I like to make sure information is correct on the maps because I know that as a Vet with PTSD myself and others can stress out for information that is not correct. As for photos I like to guild you to a place to see but with a 360 photo, you decide what you want to see instead of me only showing you what I was looking at.
As a Local guild and 360 Photographer my goal is to buy a Thor Outlaw RV ( why an Outlaw: you can put a smart car up in the back of it ) and travel around and photographing more vet cemeteries and other places of interest so when I do finally get to where I cannot get around I can go and view them online and those who presently can not get around can view them now.
But being on a limited Disability Income it may be a long while before I can do that.
