My first meet up was simply awesome!
We gathered at Samantha’s Bistro in Ikoyi, home of The Village grille, Gourmet burger bar and of course Samantha’s Bistro itself, and indulged in burgers, gist and awesome interactions. We talked about all things from photography, countries to travel to, using the Google Map and the awesomeness of meetups.
Then the burgers arrived. The 4 of us were served 12 burgers between us and for another 45 minutes it was pictures galore. @Mubmuk1 brought an awesome camera that captured lots of awesome shots. Between his iPhone and @Sayo camera, we got beautiful burger shots all round.
@Sagir and I used our phones (*smile) and by the time we were done, the pictures were simpley breathtaking and mouth watering.
The height of the day was meeting with the owners of the restaurants and finding out we had been served full burgers, just because! Chef Dumebi (who also happens to be a Google Guide) even tweaked our orders, adding a little pazzaz to each burger. That extra was mind blowing for me, not to talk of filling too.
We got invited to a tasting of a new menu and just like that my meet up got unofficially extended and continues tomorrow !
To top up this experience, we met with an awesome movie producer Ifan and was opportune to catch a glimpse of his upcoming movie - Foreigner’s God and topped with an invite to a screening!
Just like that our 2020 has started looking pretty good.
