At first glance it looked like a pot full of potatoes @AnirudPUNE , but now I’m really curious to know more about this dish.

It would be great if you could share a bit more about how this dish is made. Is it the final product we’re seeing in this photo?

Hey, Let me explain you.

Ras means juice and Gulla means ball. It’s juiceballs. The balls are made from milk. The boiled milk is broken and chhana is prepared (chhana is kind of curd but not exactly) water is taken out to make balls. The balls are put in sugar syrup to make Rasgullas. It’s handmade dish and require good experience. Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation @AnirudPUNE , it makes much more sense now. I’ve never heard of this dish before so I don’t think i will be able to try it anywhere near me. I will just have to go to India. There are so many other delicious Indian dishes I’ve been meaning to try out too so I can’t wait!

Rasgulla is my all-time favorite @AnirudPUNE I also like to see and share the photos of rasgulla whenever I get the chance. Please see some photos below which I took last month. You can see one of my posts here on this. Thanks.

Yes, when I lived in Kharagpur, I came to know that. Bengal is really rich in sweets. They also make jaggery from dates.

Hey… that’s an enticing picture.

and well said, Sweet from W.Bengal, but enjoyed by all.
