Hi dear, Local Guides!

I like to collect different countries’ coins and I have 5-7 countries’ coins and banknotes in my collection. Today, I am going to share one of my favorite coins with you. Yes, this is a Bangladeshi coin which is rare to find.

Some information regarding this beautiful coin below:

Value: 1 Taka (1 BDT) ($ ~ 0.012 USD)

Composition: Brass

Years: 1996-2003

Weight: 4 g

Diameter: 25 mm

Thickness: 1 mm

Shape: Round

The year of this coin: 1996

Obverse:

The National Emblem of Bangladesh: A water lily bordered on two sides by rice sheaves. Above are tea leaves and four stars representing the four principles of the first constitution of Bangladesh in 1972: nationalism, secularism, socialism, and democracy.

Reverse:

Four stylized human figures (parents with son & daughter) with the slogan “Planned Family- Food for All”.

Thank you @ShahMdSultan for such an interesting post. I have a similar hobby, but not the collection of coins, it is collection of sport match tickets :grinning: . Later, I will share my collection with all of you.

Now, about the coins, my favorite Indian coin is the old ₹ 2 coin, because it contains the map layout of India :india: . Have a look!
