It is 239.5 Feet Tall contains 5 storeys. 47 feet base diameter, reducing to 9 feet at the top of peak.
Qutub-ud-din- aibak founder of Delhi started construction of Qutub Minar. Due to Enemy’s war he couldn’t completed. Then his son in low continue to build it and competed 3 storeys. Then in 1369 lightning strike destroyed the top story. Then Firoz shah reconstruct the damage story and added one more. Sher shah suri also added entrance to this tower.
It is biggest tourist attraction. Located in Delhi. Aiport ia quite near. Monument is started in 1192 and competed in around 1369.

Thanks for your comment. Really means a lot. and No, it’s not my hometown. I am a filmmaker, a frequent traveller & I like to explore new places. So this was captured by me few months back when I visited Delhi. Qutub minar was built as a victory tower. Qutb-Ud-Din Aibak, Iltutmish added 3 storeys, Firoz Shah Tughlaq carried out restoration work. It has Indo-Islamic architecture. You must visit this place if you are in Delhi.
