If you share a link to the place and a screenshot of you edit, more experienced Local Guides may provide some tips. For example, what kind of edits are usually rejected.
You may tag a moderator here, but there is no direct way to contact Googlers.

Every edit has his own story, so there’s not a generic answer for your issue.
Generally speaking we can say that every edit is verified by Google by checking the information available online about the place.
If no information are available, the edit will most probably be rejected.
In addition there are restrictions for some category of places, some restricted areas, and so on.
So, to be able to help you, we need to have some more details about the place, the edit you are trying to submit, the area where you are trying to submit the edit.
You can’t. But contacting an employee would not help an edit to be approved, because an employee cannot bypass the verification process
