As Connect turns 7! on July 15 i.e., today, I thought of sharing something great about our country. This is very apt for the global community like this one to share, learn and know about each others countries developments.
New Delhi railway station is the central railway station of New Delhi, Capital of India. It has two ends - Paharganj Side and Ajmeri Gate Side.
In this post I am talking about New Delhi Railway Station Ajmeri Gate Side. Photo 1 is taken from the front of the railway station covering end to end entrance to the railway station. This entrance is from Platform number 16 side.
(Just for clarity, there are 16 platforms from 1 to 16. Pharganj side is from Platform number 1 and Ajmeri Gate side is from Platform number 16.)
At the entrance towards the platform, a beautiful art gallery is there on the wall depicting some of the famous monuments, forts, religious places and key attractions.
This railway station is well managed in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. The railway station is well decorated and in the night it looks like a Queen - Queen Delhi as can be seen in Photo 3.
There is a covered foot over bridge for the passengers to cross the road to catch the local Metro trains and/or local taxis as shown in Photo 4.
There are couple of outlets for food and beverages inside the campus. There is an arrangement for Private and Taxis car parking as well at some distance from the main platform to manage the rush.
This railway station also has the Lounge with WIFI connectivity.
This is one of the State-Of-The-Art railway stations in India.
This post of mine is also dedicated to the post Celebrate Connect @7 by 7 by @SholaIB . This one is 7 of 7.
Keep building informed community stronger
together.
Signing off for now.

Indeed…! excellent coverage of the New Delhi Railway station though photos and information @Kumaarsantosh
A very practical and helpful post.
I simply love such kind of posts that are written with a very noble intention.
I especially liked the tip about the platform numbers and which side they begin with, since this will save a lot of hassle for passengers

Thank you @SholaIB for your generous words and tagging other friends from India.
It was really great to participate in your 7 posts. This pushed me to think through and pen down some of the important aspects of India. This post and the one in travel board on Mini Kashmir are very closed to my heart.
Thanks for igniting this thought in me.
Last but not the least thank you so much for extending this post to the dedicated Indian local guides on TRAC team.

Heartfelt thanks to you @TravellerG for the wonderful comments on my post.
Glad that you liked my post.
Lot to learn from inspiration leaders like you on Connect platform.
P.S.: In the night light, the way New Delhi Railways Station is decorated, it looks like a Queen and hence I have coined the term Queen Delhi in my post. Even I am not aware of its official usage.
