Don’t ask for “Quad”: nobody will understand. Say “ATV Tour”. Mae Rim is located 20 minutes drive from Chiang Mai. Driving through the rice fields, climbing to the surrounding mountains, enjoy the ride and the splendid landscapes. For 1.950THB a driver or 1.300THB a passenger, a car will pick you in your hotel, and drop you back afterwards. You will spend in the hills half a day driving : the tour counts more or less 40 km. Beginners above 16 years welcome ; if you are self-confident enough, you can select a stronger program but don’t be too indulgent towards yourself ! Anyway, a guide will give you a safety briefing and assess your skill’s level before the tour starts. This guide will show the way, and just in case, an technical assistant will escort.
You will be given an helmet ; closed shoes and long-sleeved jacket preferable : risk of skin abrasion (trees, rocks, slipping…). Use by preference a waterproof and hand free camera (harness).
