Dear friends in UAE and those visiting United Arab Emirates, please make it a point to visit QASR AL WATAN in AbuDhabi which has been opened to public very recently giving us a chance to look into a masterpiece of Arabian heritage. It is just phenomenal. Breathtaking.
The tour has been arranged in a catchy sequence starting with a pick-up bus that takes us to the palace through the gardens of the palace. They make you wait at the closed door for few minutes and then open the door dramatically to make you say …“WOW” when you get the first glimpse of the interior.
The Presidential Palace compound in AbuDhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates is of 380,000 Sq.m and Qasr Al Watan is a part of the Presidential Palace. Did you know that it took 350 hours to make each door and 23 carat French Gold was used for detailing on the doors? These interesting facts about the Palace is available online.
And the metaphorical saying- to write something in gold has been literally translated to a globe of gold (or gold plated material) where one can see Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s quote written in Arabic calligraphy – “Wealth is not money and oil. Wealth lies in people, and it is worthless if not dedicated to serve the people”.
