Odisha is a land that is full of waterfalls.Phulbani is a place in Odisha in the district of Kandhamal which has 4 waterfalls. The distances of the waterfalls from the city is there in the picture. So,I decided to go to Putudi waterfall that day.Putudi Waterfall is 15 km from the main city of Phulbani. There is good road for the first 7km.But,the later 8km has off-roads completely. You have to go through mountains and jungles to reach the destination. I was returning from Burla to bhubaneswar. So,I decided to reroute my way through phulbani to get the spectacular views of the waterfall.
After the first 8kms,there is a right turn where the road becomes around 2 metres wide.Cars are also feasible on the road.In the video you will see that the roads are too dangerous. When I went,it was 40 degrees in May.So,I expected loneliness.I was the only one to go there. After some kilometres, you will find some huts on the right where the locals live.Around 15 families stay in the huts. There is a tubewell near their house(you can use it too). After you go a little further, the foot of the waterfall is visible. The sound of the waterfall will also be audible.2kms further, the gate of the waterfall will be visible. You can park your vehicle there. As no one was there at the spot,I took my bike little inside. When you find the welcome board, its the last rideable point .
Then you will have to take the stairs and go to the viewpoint. The view is nice. But,I decided to get down some rocks to go little down.I had my safety gear on.Hope you wear all protective gear while climbing these rocks as it's quite risky. After going down for some time,I got to the last spot until which you can walk. And damn!! The view was breathtaking. It was an awesome and once-in-a-lifetime experience. You can go for picnic in this waterfall. It's a nice serene place with spectacular scenic beauty.
