Very interesting. Good to learn about GI tags as well.
This looks fabulous, @Annaelisa ![]()
I am glad to see that Indian Tea has reached the small places like Eckernförde
I think some of these have a GI Tag probably.
Sorry for the late response @TusharSuradkar I am yet to get a hands-on experience of GI tagged products but will certainly be on the lookout for it and will update here soon
We have a similar system in the EU to protect geographical origin as a sign of quality. Please see Geographical Indications - EUIPO
Absolutely @MortenCopenhagen
The GI idea, in my knowledge, originated in Europe.
Other countries jumped in after that.
Whisky, butter, grapes, etc.
If you know of a GI Tagged item from the Denmark, I invite you to write about it on Connect.
I think cheeses are what we have protected under this EU regulation:
- Danbo: A popular semi-hard cheese.
- Esrom: A semi-soft, washed-rind cheese.
- Havarti: A mild, semi-soft cheese.
- Danablu: A Danish blue cheese.
There is also a wine that I never heard of before.
Cheers
