Initially my relation with Google maps was to fulfill my navigational needs. As a person with vision impairment the Google map was very handy to monitor my roots. Especially while taking an private auto or taxi. It was very exciting to know that drivers were treating me with more dignity on the use of Google map. In the year 2015 I was full time volunteering for a charity in a new city, I have to work extra hours to support my family and again Google maps helped me to explore nearby locality in order to reach out to clients with ease. In few incidence I have noticed that the contact numbers available on Google maps are of more useful than that of yellow pages. These numbers proved to be time saving and reduced my efforts in commuting to the clients locations. In the year 2017 it was the time for me to get back to work and my family joined in Visakhapatnam, Google Maps once again was my favorite app to depend on for all the shopping requirements. Revues and ratings made it more easy in identifying service points, restaurant’s to dine and in tracing fun zones for children etc. soon I realized that all the critical information which is out there on Google maps is efforts of several selfless individuals who has taken little time from their busy schedule to update the information. I always believe in giving back; discovering this new way of contributing back to the community, I take pleasure in writing my experience with business places, schools and tourist attractions etc. living in a developing nation plenty of new things are happening around us. Life is changing rapidly and keeping us busy; during this busy schedule if my two sentences can help others to save their time and money it gives great satisfaction in giving back to my local community. My passion is to travel and visit tourist places mainly hill stations surrounded with natural beauty. Thank you so much Google Maps…
