Problem in writing Reviews on Google Maps by Android phone.

Hello,
I m getting problem to write review on Google Maps, the cursor move automatically and jump at start point of review in very few seconds… I want to know that if this is my Android phone’s problem or is it a known issue for Google?. Because sometimes its breaks the concentration and cause of irritation.

I will be grateful if moderators can guide me and help me to solve the problem.

I have experienced the same problem recently too. It looks like that after a couple of seconds without writing it jumps to the beginning

I m using Oppo F7 and here is the description of my phone and

Google maps App 4.3.

And one more thing I want to ask, if I will refresh the Google maps app, I mean remove and install it again, so will it works? And my saved lists will remain or remove by uninstall the app ?

Have you tried updating google service to the latest version, if that does’nt work, try using another phone.

The issue is not about phone or software, the problem or bug is in Google Maps App. And I hope it will be fine soon. Waiting for response.

Hello!

I am facing an issue related to the location of cursor during writing a review for a place and it happens mostly for every place.

Some other local guides @DhawalShah also reporting the same issue, if anyone also facing same problem then share here and if anybody know the exact solution please tell us.

@StephenAbraham can you provide any support related to this issue?

@IshantHP_ig it would be great if you can record a short video so we can tag a Google Moderator, so someone can look at it. Post the link to the video here, either via Drive or unlisted YouTube.

Or you can use Send Feedback in Google Maps. That would be good also.

Also good if you can provide what phone, what version OS, and what Maps version. (Send Feedback in app should capture it automatically I believe)

I’ve been having the same issue…

I actually thought my 15-month-old son had changed my keyboard settings somehow, as he likes to take my phone and try talk with it and play around with it, but now I see it wasn’t him after all haha.

If it helps at all I’m using a Huawei P20 Pro.

Thanks for the feedback, I really thought there was something up with my phone now. It’s been like this for a few days now.

On the plus, I downloaded the Google keyboard in a bid to stop this happening. It hasn’t stopped but I’m loving the functionality of the Google Keyboard and it has now become my preferred method for typing.
