I’m not entirely sure if this would be a breach of someone’s privacy, so Im a construction worker and I have many pictures of jobs, mostly residential, that aren’t completed. It’s all new construction and 99% of the time noone has purchased the property yet, other then the builder. Just wondering if I could post my photos of the job with what I’ve accomplished, I think most new homeowners would be interested to see their home at the beginning stages of construction and wouldn’t mind as long as there’s no real personal information, I do residential (occasionally commercial) foundations, so it would just be a hole, then the footings, then the foundation or basement, just curious if that’s allowed, most of them I don’t have the specific address for any more either just the development they were in. I’ve got nearly 10 years of pictures of jobs from MN IL and MT.
Just curious if I can dump them here for my own and the future homeowners

Hi @SpeedoSam
Thanks for asking.
I see two issues:
-
Private homes should not be added to Google Maps.
-
Photos should show what places look like “now” and not 10 years ago.
I think those two concerns answer your question even before we start thinking about the privacy of the people who own the properties today.
But, let’s see what others think. I could be wrong.

One more thought, @SpeedoSam
I think it could be very interesting and relevant for owners/renters to see your photos. Maybe you can find a more private way to share your photos. Maybe you could pay them a visit and offer to email copies to them
Cheers

Yes I figured it was a issue which is why i didn’t do it immediately lol, however they’ve all been done in the past year and all were owned by a bank basically, no one privately owned them at the time.
The few times someone does build their own home in town they’re always out there taking pictures every step of the way tho.
Anyways thanks for the response
