Preparation for the World Chocolate Day meet-up on July 07, 2024

Hello LGs,

On July 7, 2024, at 5 PM IST, I am so excited to host you all for the World Chocolate Day meet-up along with our co-host, @Rohan10 .

Even though I know a lot of you are already eager to attend, I am going to reiterate the points—or rather, the questions—I mentioned in my meet-up post to help you recall them.

I recommend that you either prepare for the following and attend, or you can just submit it in your own comment here.

Here are the questions and points, along with my replies to them, for your reference. It will be easy for us if you follow the same sequence and format while commenting below:

  • Do you have any childhood memories related to chocolate?
For example, you can recall some of the funniest situations with chocolate. Hiding below the dining table and the joy of unwrapping it and savoring the sweetness—it’s a timeless delight.

  • What is your favorite type of chocolate, and why?
For example, my favorite chocolate is dark chocolate. As soon as I put it in my mouth, my eyes close automatically, and I enjoy it.
It’s interesting to learn what delights your taste buds the most.

  • Have you ever tried unique or exotic chocolates or unusual flavors?
For example, one of the shocking experiences was tasting chilli-spiced chocolate. OMG, I couldn’t think of it!!

  • How do you feel when you eat chocolate?
For example, it gives me heavenly feelings and moments of pure bliss!

  • What’s the most memorable chocolate gift you’ve received?
For example, my dad gave me my first ever Cadbury’s milk chocolate on my 7th birthday; it was the most expensive gift during those days for us, and I still cherish that first taste of the chocolate.

  • If you have chocolate right now, whom would you like to share it with, and why?
For example, my family, of course! I definitely believe that chocolate is not just a gift or treat; it’s a language of love and pure joy!!

  • Please share your best photo of the chocolate with it.

Photo of assorted chocolates.

So, friends, please share it either here or at the meet-up! We will try to show as many as possible; due to time constraints, this may not be possible, but we will certainly cover as much as possible.

Cheers!

Thank you for this super-exciting opportunity @AjitThite :+1:

:chocolate_bar: My favorite too was dark chocolate for a few years, but I have lost appetite for it recently.

My all-time favorite is milk chocolate with resins - and Cadbury Fruit & Nut was the preferred choice.

:chocolate_bar: My unusual flavor mix was Pan-Chocolate

This is a normal milk chocolate with the Indian Beeter-nut flavor added to it.

A company called Safari used to sell it, but I do not find it anymore in shops near me.

:chocolate_bar: Eating chocolate is definitely a soothing experience and brings some calm to the mind.

:chocolate_bar: Yes, there was a time when buying or gifting a Cadbury’s chocolate was a privilege.

I too received it as a gift from school friends since I almost never save enough pocket-money to buy one

:chocolate_bar: I always buy chocolate for the entire family; they all have different preferences.

So, buying chocolates is a family-activity.

:chocolate_bar: Sharing a photo soon… or during the meetup.

Always enjoyed chocolate when on birthday in class, classmaye would distributed, I would ask birthday girl / boy those who are absent please give one more because I love sweets.

After 10 th got teachers job so for teachers if small chocolate they give handful some times 1-2 ,… I would eat 1-2 rest at home share with everyone extra keep in fridge…

My dad & grandfather used to enjoy. Specially my grand father he said in there time no birthday celebrating with chocolate.

2013 in school once a birthday boy gave Silk chocolate that to after school left. He said it will get melt so giving now. That time once he saw if kids ask please give me chocolate in recess I would give them. He gave nstructions don’t share it take home & eat… I am giving to all staff it was rap. At home when I ate it’s was with nuts :yum: Yummy.

My younger sister for office work travel different countries had tried different countries chocolate. Once she specially got for me from Belgium and Switzerland dark chocolate & chocolate bottle it was yummy usually people say u cannot eat dark chocolate but I enjoyed.

Now also whenever I have carving I get it because for 10/20 rs chocolate they don’t come home delivery but with that I order other things also.

Spicy chocolate yes I had made at home ginger juice, haldi, black pepper powder, jaggery at home seeing video it was yummy but very spicy…
