PRELIMINARY RESULTS: The 2025 Movers & Shakers Decathlon!

Hi @YuliiaZa,

Thank you so much! It really is a humongous task to bring all these moving parts together, but seeing the “insane” level of dedication from Local Guides around the world makes it all worth it.

The volume of contributions this year has been truly record-breaking. It’s an honor to be able to summarize and celebrate everyone’s hard work through these leaderboards. Huge congratulations to you and all the participants for making 2025 such a massive year for the community! :rocket::glowing_star:

Hi @Steve_UK, it’s great to hear that you’re feeling re-motivated! You’ve hit the nail on the head regarding the Shakers board. It was specifically configured to level the playing field so that high-velocity growth is rewarded just as much as high-volume delta. As you noted, it’s a massive opportunity for guides to shine based on their current momentum rather than just their lifetime totals.

Regarding your “Audit %” observation—spot on! The growth percentage is calculated as the velocity of your growth relative to your starting point for the year. It ensures that those “rapidly rising through the ranks” are properly recognized. It’s essentially measuring the “Shaker” energy you brought to 2025!

Don’t let those deleted contributions get you down; the fact that you’re still appearing across these boards shows just how much quality work you’re putting in. Onward and upward for 2026! :rocket::trophy:

Well I think I’ve replied to everyone but I do apologise if I missed you. If so do let me know.

For now, I do hope that you check out the latest update to the way the Audit is presented, and if you’ve been regularly checking and updating your data, I hope you like the ability to drill down and see it right there in front of you. I also hope the terminology is now a lot clearer. Do check out the new features and let me know what you think or if I’ve missed something that you believe would help you.

The Wall of Fame and the nucleus HUB was a vision I had been quietly experimenting and working with for quite a long time and seeing it now through your impressive contributions to Maps makes it all worthwhile.

ps: If you haven’t as yet seen the new the podium—:trophy: for 1st, :2nd_place_medal: for 2nd, and :3rd_place_medal: for 3rd (Gold Trophy at the top of a metric and Silver and Bronze medals for 2nd, and 3rd) then do visit the HUBs of the top 2025 Movers & Shakers including @abermans @efcxp @Steve_UK @TerryPG @Ssiddharth2000 @curatorofmemory, just to name afew.

Wishing you all well.

Thanks a lot @Steve_UK. Your translations are all korrekt and understandable. Only some are slightly different from the German UI by Google. However, as I just noticed, @AdamGT did update the Audit panel with better understandable (and probably translatable) titles. Thanks Adam!

Perfect @AdamGT! Interesting the new Breakdown per month:

Hello everyone

I know I’ve mentioned this several times before but I’m still seeing problems with Brick in the Wall badges on some Local Guide signatures. If you hover over your #BrickInTheWall badge and see the word null in brackets as shown in the image below then you have a problem and need to visit the Leaderboard System and follow the procedure to update your signature. This is important to avoid issues when you or others visit your HUB.

In the points breakdown is a mistake @AdamGT: The value of 111,474 is actually the value of today Jan 29, 2026:

The same is true for the photo views.

Wow, this is an incredible evolution of the leaderboards, @AdamGT! :+1:

The Decathlon Scoring System is a brilliant way to reward both Veterans and the Rising stars. As someone who joined the leaderboards earlier but only resumed active contributions in mid-2025, I really appreciate the New Member Adjustment. It’s a very fair system that rewards both the long-distance ‘Marathon’ runners and the ‘Sprinters’ like myself.

The Top 100 HUB is the beautiful interactive solution. I’ve been diving into my ‘receipts’ via the Data Inspector, and I noticed two small things for your 72 hour window:

  • Variable Swap: In the pop-up windows, it looks like the v0 and v1 labels are reversed compared to the README definitions. v0 is displaying the Final total and v1 shows the Baseline. Because of this, the growth % is currently being calculated as a percentage of the Final value instead of the starting one.

  • Scoring Synchronization: My official Annual Performance Audit receipt correctly shows a Total Score of 21 (including #8 in Contrptinc for 3 points). However, the main Mover Decathlon board currently shows me at 11 points and the Master Badge List at 19 points. It looks like those boards might be lagging behind the receipts by 2 points.

  • Baseline Logic: I checked my Roads baseline, it was captured at 89 (my first active entry in November), which perfectly aligns with your New Member logic you explained.

Thank you for the transparency and the ‘receipts’, seeing a Total Score of 21 points from just a half-year ‘sprint’ is a huge motivator!

Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who made the final badge list, especially @Ssiddharth2000 for topping the list! :handshake:

Thank you for the tag and for sharing those interesting stats, @curatorofmemory ji! :folded_hands:

It’s an honor to be part of such a dedicated group of contributors. It is great to see how the Decathlon system highlights our contributions across the community. Thanks once again to @AdamGT for bringing out these insights from a complex system. :handshake:

Congratulations to everyone featured on these lists!

Hey @WilfriedB
I just checked your data and it is as your Audit screen shows it so what happened? Try this. Use the T100 and update your current points and let’s see if both month values change.

Hello @AdamGT I’ll also post my statistics here.

@AdamGT , you are the one who make the scale and scope of contributions visible. Huge kudos to you!

By the way, I didn’t expect to see myself in the final boards. That’s also motivating.

Bonjour @AdamGT ,

Hi @palmad1, thank you for such a detailed look! This is exactly why we have a 72-hour review period—to catch these nuances. Now, regarding your observations:

  • v0/v1 Labels: You caught a straightforward logic flip in the display headers. I have corrected this on the System so the Baseline and Final values now align with the growth math.

  • The 2-Point Gap: This is very interesting. Since the data for all boards was locked at 0545 on Saturday, the 21 points in your Audit is the “raw” performance. The fact that the Leaderboard shows 19 suggests a slight discrepancy in how points are being aggregated across the different boards for specific categories (like your #8 finish in Incorrect Reports).

I am currently “under the hood” checking the aggregation logic to ensure your full 21-point “Sprinting” effort is reflected everywhere. Congratulations again on a massive second half of 2025! You are a star to watch

Well done @Abotorab, 9 times in the top 100 and 2 times in the top 10 with a decathlon score of 24 is an excellent outcome. Just look at your results in the points and places added categories!

Thanks @AdamGT The data in the Hub is an amazing way to know about where our contributions came from and where we can focus on in 2026. Really appreciate your efforts in compiling this. I’m loving the month on month breakdown of the contributions. For some reason, I’m unable to view the media views inspector. It’s just stuck on loading. I’m able to see the other contribution inspectors though.
