Have you tried or heard of hand-made pot ice cream?
I remember in the 80s we used to hire these machines and make ice cream at home, inviting friends and relatives for an ice cream party. It was a laborious job turning the handle of the pot machines, and often people took turns to mix the ice cream,
Wow, we visited one of their outlets near Kondhwa a few months back, but their pot ice cream was sold out that time. And yes, we went there almost at closing time!
But we tasted other flavors, and it was good. @TusharSuradkar , I will post that here shortly.
Khatri is their family name, and Bandhu means brothers.
It is very common out here in Maharashtra that brothers start a business and give it a family name + “Brothers” title
Arre waah matka kulfi and matka ice cream are the best options in the summer atleast. Delhi is very hot in day but nights are still breezy. You have clicked beautiful pics.

Hello dear @TusharSuradkar
Ohh… this is new to me, dear friend…
Photos are good.
But, I have a question:
Why is it called ‘Pot’ icecream?
In this part, I have never heard of such a ’ Laborious’ machine.
Interesting…
Thanks in advance.
wow…! nice to know they have multiple branches @Rushikesh_joshi
I have heard a lot about their real Sitaphal flavor.
Definitely will check if it is available at the next visit
Thank you, @TravellerG
Looking at the image in the first photo, there is a metal container, usually Aluminium.
This is called the pot, where there is an inner gap like a Thermos Flask.
This gap is usually filled with ice and salt.
The top handle is rotated to thoroughly mix the ingredients, to get smooth ice cream.
The handle, I remember, used to be very hard to turn because the ice cream is produced on a large scale at a party or family function - hence it was a laborious task, and a single person could never do it alone.
@TusharSuradkar sir this is nostalgic. I used to get these ice creams in movie theatres often, now all got replaced with the cups and frozen dessert. This is mouthwatering. Thanks for your continuous contribution on #BeatTheHeat challenge.
