Poori is a very popular puffy Indian bread made of wheat flour dough, Oil/Ghee, Salt and Water.
Poori is a crispy, golden deep-fried bread that can be served with any dish.
The perfect Poori is golden- brown in color and puffed up almost like a ball.
Pooris are really tempting and can be prepared instantly.
We make Pooris for various festivals, religious rituals, on arrival of guests or for any party.
✤Ingredients****✤
Wheat flour- 2 cup ( 300 gms) also add 2 tsp Oil/ghee to it and mix well.
Salt- 1/2 tsp (you can also make Pooris without adding salt to the flour. but little salt in the Pooris makes in tasty).
Oil/ Ghee - For Frying.
Water - 1 cup approximately.
Carom seeds or ajwain – just a pinch for flavour.
Making these Pooris is really easy. but sometime Pooris don’t puff up and don’t get soft.
✤Few tips for Puff-up and Soft Pooris✤
1. While kneading the dough make sure you don’t make it too stiff or too soft. 2. While rolling out the Pooris make sure you roll it out evenly from the center.
it should not be thin in the center and thick on the edges. don’t worry about this part …with little practice you’ll be able to make Perfact Pooris. 3. While deep frying the Pooris make sure that the Oil/Ghee is hot sufficiently.
