Pomelo is a very popular seasonal fruit in Bangladesh. This year we eat many pomelos in our family. We love this fruit very much. This fruit can be a very potential source of Vitamin C. 100 grams of pomelo contains 61 milligrams of Vitamin C. An adult person needs only 65 to 90 milligrams of Vitamin C a day. In that case, 100 grams of pomelo can fulfill our daily requirement of Vitamin C. The price of this healthy fruit is not high as well. One big size pomelo costs only 50 to 60 Bangladeshi Taka. And a medium-size one costs only 25 to 35 Bangladeshi Taka. So one pomelo is enough for the family of 4 members.
I think this fruit is also found in your country. Let us know whether you like this fruit and how do you eat. Thanks.
@TuhinSir Thanks for liking the post and pomelo. My family members also like very much to eat pomelo. My daughter likes it very much it is sweet, my wife likes it with little sour. This year we eat a lot of pomelos.
@Designer_Biswajit During last Eid vacation I went to my village at Tangail and saw our pomelo tree with lot of green pomelo… so we did not bring any pomelo from my village this time. You remind me that. Thanks for helping me to remember that. By the way which district are you from.
Thanks for sharing this useful information @MukulR . I really love the research you made before posting the photo of Pomelo. Actually we don’t have that particular kind of fruit here in Nigeria but we have other citrus fruits.
Good morning. I am very honored to tag me. A variety of citrus fruits are sold in Japan, but Pomelo has never been seen. I love citrus, so I definitely want to eat Pomelo. If you find Pomelo, you buy and eat it. I will introduce my favorite citrus fruits. My favorite citrus is Haruka. Very juicy and sweet citrus. Thank you very much. Regard
@Austinelewex Thanks for liking the post. I think Pomelo is found only in Asian countries, though I am not sure about it. Some other continents may have this fruit also. What type of citrus fruits available in Nigeria? How is the price of them? Cany show us a photo of any uncommon citrus found there? Thanks.
@955HIRO Thanks for your information. For the first time, I came to know about the fruit Haruka. From your photo, I thought it was orange(mikan) but I was wrong as you told it as Haruka. Is Haruka available all over Japan? And in which season it is found most. Thanks.
Hello. As you say. HARUKA is a orange companion. It is a orange that is rarer than ordinary mandarin oranges. It is a famous variety in areas where citrus fruits are harvested abundantly. SETOKA is a very sweet and delicious mandarin.
I love rare mandarin oranges, so I go to Atami and Izu.
@955HIRO Thanks. The small oranges in your photo are also found in Bangladesh. They are imported from China. Thanks a lot for sharing the information and the nice photos.
@Designer_Biswajit WOW, that’s really great. I am glad that you grew up and studied in Mirzapur, Tangail. I am from the village of Chapri under Ghatail Thana. You can see the location of my beautiful village here. Thanks once again for your information.
