Poet Jasim Uddin Home and Museum (Bengali: কবি জসীম উদ্দীনের বাড়ি ও জাদুঘর) is very important Historical Place for the people’s of Bangladesh. This place where poet was born and wrote many poems, stories, etc.
Jasimuddin (Bangla: জসীমউদদীন; Full name: Jasimuddin Mollah) was a Bengali poet, songwriter, prose writer, folklore collector and radio personality. He is commonly known in Bangladesh as Polli Kobi (The Rural Poet), for his faithful rendition of Bengali folklore in his works
His famous works of poetry are: " নক্সী কাঁথার মাঠ ", " চলে মুসাফির ", " এক পয়সার বাঁশী " etc.
How to reach Poet Jasim Uddin Home and Museum:
- Take a bus from Gabtoli Bus Terminal, Dhaka to Faridpur New Bus Stand. (I’ll request to take “Golden Line Bus” & Cost is BDT. 300).
- Then take Auto Rickshaw and say that,“You want to go Poet House (Kobi Josim Uddin House)” and it’s cost BDT. 15 or 20
- When you reach there then buy a “Admission Card” which is Entry Ticket (BDT. 20) and enjoy your time with your Friends & Family
N:B: There are “Modhumala Gallery” ( Bengali: মধুমালা গ্যালারি) to buy poet’s books, Poet’s park, Mosque.
