Hello fellow guides
My following review is somehow not visible to others.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/7XHZaed4prX2wCGv8
I have been cheated by a hotel owner and I posted a review letting others know to be careful while transacting with that particular property.
The post was visible and got some traction.
But since I did some editing it became invisible.
Can anyone please help?
Hi @manish10390
Your link is not helpful as we (of cause) can not see a hidden review.
Please try removing attached photos as they might trigger the filter.
Share the review text in a reply below.
Keep in mind that repeated attempts can also trigger the filter. And often a user can be blocked from reviewing a place so changing the text will not solve the issue.
Cheers
Morten
Thank you Morten for your response.
Below is my review.

!!BEWARE!! If you are travelling with Family then REFRAIN from booking.
Do not go by all goody goody reviews of this property.
I booked this property for 2 nights stay for December on Booking dotCom which also got confirmed.
But then this property owners messaged me personally that they do not take bookings for December.
When I offered full payment in advance, they showed their real intent.
They wanted MORE MONEY out of my booking.
I have made multiple bookings in different countries including India using multiple portals but never received such unprofessional behavior. Such behaviour is actually tarnishing India’s image as a tourist destination. Not acceptable!!
If it is a mistake in setting property pricing then they should accept it and take my booking as an exception since we already have a confirmed booking - That’s called professionalism which is completely lacking in this case.

Hi again @manish10390
It would be very helpful if you would always use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.
In this post I tried to explain that revenge reviews are not a good idea on Google Maps. I would consider your review a revenge review because you mention no details from your visit and you are using very negative words. The business can request your review to be taken down if you did not visit the place. I also have quite some experience with using booking dot com. And I believe your choice to complain publicly not to Booking dot com and not on their review platform is a mistake. I have been able to get refunds by dealing with booking dot com rather than the hotels. If a hotel is not honoring what they offer their customers booking dot com has relevant and effective means to step in and help you. Did you try to get the issue resolved via Booking dot com?
It is possible to post negative reviews if we remain calm and state facts civilly and politely.
Sorry, I could not assist you better.

@MortenCopenhagen Hello Morten, Hope I got the tagging right.
I get your point. On second reading, it does sound bit more on negative side. My intention was to warn people and that’s it. But now I will give it up. Rather will follow your advise on getting some resolution from Booking dotCom.
