When I add a review to Google Maps, I always add one or two photos with my review to provide context. And then add my other photos in the photos section.
Today, I tried to add a photo to a review but the button to post it goes to the bottom of the page and impossible it’s to click on the Post button.
I was able to send my review without any issues but without any photos.
I didn’t see it here @christophesubilia
But I face the same problem as you: posting photos in my review or in the photos tab. Mainly because even though you post a good photo on a review, you don’t see the food name option available.
Hello Roger, and thank you for your feedback. I completely agree with you, and I feel that photos in reviews are rarely among the first photos of a place.
I always include one or two photos with my review to give it meaning, but now that’s no longer possible
Please try restarting your device. If it persists you need to share a screenshot and specify your platform, operating system version and Maps app version.
If you look closely at the second screenshot compared to the first, the Post button becomes clearer and slides under the Android menu of the phone.
I tried this in five different places and encountered the same issue each time.
Adding text does not change anything. If I add text but do not upload a photo, I can publish. However, as soon as I add a photo (in the Review), I encounter the issue described above.
Yes, I’ve come across a few others facing a similar issue recently — especially when trying to add photos directly while writing a review. It seems like a glitch in the layout where the “Post” button gets pushed off-screen or becomes unresponsive.
A few possible workarounds you could try:
Post the review first without photos, then go back and edit the review to add the photo — sometimes it works better that way.
Try switching your browser or app version — desktop vs mobile, or using a different browser/app update can sometimes resolve UI glitches.
If you’re using the mobile app, clearing the cache or restarting the app may also help.
