Which category should be choosen for home place

Thanks for asking. As you already know there is no category for private homes. That is because private homes should not be on Google Maps.

Hi @166murad . How are you doing? A home should not be added to maps because it is a private space. On Google Maps, you can set your address to navigate purposes, but it is not listed publicly (just you will see it).

On the other hand, if you are talking about “apartment complex,” it is possible to add, and there is a category for that.

Regarding the main inquiry, please be noted to check as @MortenCopenhagen and @AlexandreCampbell kindly shared, should each home addresses are to be kept private for each users on Google Maps.

What you may check is to Set home or work addresses label, should it be closest possible direction for the main subject.

You can add your home and your work address on Google Maps for your personal use only, @166murad .
