Is there a way to make a special event album on Google Maps at certain location?

There used to be Google Events that were integrated with Maps but they will be going away with g+.
It is probably worth noting that Maps photos should be about current information rather than a historic photo album from an event in the past.
You might want to jump over to Idea Exchange and suggest it.
It’s just that people might like to see what type of events have happened in the past and what future events might look p
