Photos missing from Google Maps?

I had uploaded over 1000 photos on Panoramio, most of them linked to POIs.

I checked today “My Contributions” and I see that most of them - that were migrated from Panoramio - are missing. Only a few photos that are shown as “Unknown place” are still available…

By the way my Local Guides profile shows that I have contributed 0 photos.
What happened to them?

For the record I found the exact number of my uploaded photos. It was 2252…

I confirm the complete disappearance of Panoramio photos for the second time in 3/4 months.

Thanks for letting me know!
The worst thing is that there is no official announcement about what is going on. It reminds of the final days of Panoramio, when no one was fixing bugs or giving status’ updates.
