Photos d'avis non publiées

Bonjour,

Hi @Lolodelyon . First of all, a warm welcome to Connect.
Do you mean that the reviews were published, but without the photos and videos?
As I see that you are located inside the EU, were your photos showing a warning sign, like the one here below?

This may happen for two reasons:

  • Because the photo was found to be against the policies
  • Because one of the parts of the review (the text itself or one of the attached media) are found to be against the policies
Recently we also had many reports about photos due to an issue with some mobile phone. In that case a small edit on the photos solved the problem.

Of course the filter is not perfect, so normally, if the issue is with the text, we have the possibility to appeal, while if the issue is with the media we may have to remove and edit the ones that are not published

Can you share with us a link to the reviews where you are having this issue, or a screenshot of the unpublished photos?

Hello @Lolodelyon welcome to the Local Guides Connect community.

With which camera or smartphone, are you making your pictures? If it is a newer Galaxy, please have a look here: Cannot upload images to reviews - #34 by WilfriedB

Ciao @ErmesT, I have the problem with my new Galaxy S24 FE since early January until now, but very recently found out, using a different camera app ( OpenCamera.) solves it

Merci pour votre retour, non j’ai l’habitude depuis de nombreuses années de prendre des photos et il n’y a pas de marque ou publication dessus.

Mon smartphone est un Samsung Galaxy A35 5G.

Hello @Lolodelyon when responding in Connect, it is better to mention the other user’s name with @ such as @ErmesT That way will, get a notification.

Even though other users were reporting problems with Galaxy S23, S24 and S25 after a recent Android update, I’d suggest you anyway to give it a try.

Delete one or more of your rejected photos, slightly edit the original, for example by cropping just a little bit and upload again. The other solution is to use a different camera app for future photos, as I described yesterday.

Please let us know, if it helps.

I am using a Galaxy S24 Ultra and never had a problem. Is it updated with lates version of software?

Yes, mine and the others’ phones are on the latest version and some users reported the problem came up after the most recent update. In fact, I am hoping for a newer update, but until now, it tells me “Your software is on the latest version”.

However, while there were several reports with S24 and S24 FE, until now, I haven’t seen any comment with an S24 Ultra.

Thanks for the information @JanHC, but who knows, maybe you are on an older or newer version …? This is mine:
grafik

Je vais tester l’application open camera je vous dirai si ça fonctionne.

No I got the same software version on my Galaxy 24 S Ultra

Or the camera app is different then. Mine says Galaxy Camera 16.0.00.63

Ah here is a difference. Mine says:

66 at the end, so asuming it is a newer version.

Thanks for clarification @JanHC. So, it is neither certain models nor Android level, but just the version of the camera app causing the problem. But I believe, the app cannot be updated separately.

After I said yesterday “I haven’t seen any comment with an S24 Ultra.”, I searched Connect for S24 Ultra and found a pot from November 2025 where somebody complained about “100+ photos rejected”. At the time most responses were guessing the SPAM correctly rejected them. More likely at that time the S24 Ultra had that faulty camera app, which was meanwhile updated.

I am not sure what cources the problem and we only found one difference in the software version.

Maybe not the only answer, but just a likly cause.

As I described in the other thread, the metadata contain a corrupted color profile (“Bad length ICC_Profile (length 632)”).

Although several photo editors, such as GIMP, DIGIKAM and Picasa 3 just ignore the bad value and save a clean one, obviously Google’s SPAM filter gets a hick-up and rejects each and every photo, @JanHC.

By the way I love my Samsung S24 Ultra to the moon and back

Handheld camera. I am impressed.

Depuis que j’ai téléchargé l’application open caméra, mes photos d’avis fonctionnent de nouveau, merci pour vos conseils:slightly_smiling_face:
