Hi I’ve had this problem since a couple days now and I have the same both on my (android) phone and computer.
When I go to contribute, normally it loads my images from Gphotos and then I can select which ones I can upload to the places I visited and then submit. But My images are not loading. There’s just a circle that keeps turning as if it keeps loading stuff but nothing ever happens.
I have checked my settings in Gphotos to see if I looked over a setting that might prevent the synchronisation between both platforms but everything seemed fine.
That appears to be a temporary glitch.
On my phone, the app says “You are all caught up”.
Whereas on the desktop, it goes in circles as mentioned by you.
Either you can wait for some days & see whether the problem clears up.
Alternatively, in the contribute menu on the phone, click the camera icon. That will display the entire collection in the Google photos. The only catch is you have to select a correct place through the prompt appearing at the top.
Hi @ibisette have you tried sharing your pictures from the gallery in your phone? Go to your gallery and pick the photos that you want to upload to Maps and then select the place.
Maybe you can do it in this way.
Or picking the pictures in Google Photos and then sharing in the place in Maps.
