Photo upload to maps gone awry

In September I carefully uploaded about 100 images to individual restaurant locations on Google Maps. Now they are showing up in completely wrong locations. Is there a way to correct this through Local Guides? It’s not good that incorrect results are showing for people looking for accurate photos for these restaurants.

I’ve never had this happen before - anyone else encounter something like this?

Take a screen shot and report your concerns on Google maps, people there usually take proper action or not, good luck :+1:

I usually buy Google One about annual membership, thus I can chat with someone who is working for Google.

@RightHemisphere I am sorry about your experience. I would like to tag Connect Moderator @MortenCopenhagen for kind help.

Kindly provide proof of a few of the issues.

But first, try Clear cache & cookies, if you have not already done so. The link has step-by-step instructions for Android, IOS, and Desktop. Just select the relevant tab at the top.

Also, please log out of your Local Guides account and log back in, and update your Google Maps app if necessary.

We also need to know which platform you are using and if the problem can be seen across platforms.

Please include the following for each issue:

  • Maps link to the restaurant.
  • Deep link to your photo.
  • The link to the business where it rightfully belong.

If you also provide the version numbers of Maps app and your operating system we should have what is needed to get this escalated.

Cheers
Morten
