I have faced one problem regarding one of my photo . Before 6 months it showing correct place and more than 2lakh views but now it’s showing Unknown place. Is there any option in google map photo section , sothat i can change my photo to exact/previous location where photo existing… ???
or i upload it again on that location after deleting from unknown location.???

@LVMAVI , the quick answer is no, in Maps you cannot move a photo from a location to another. you will have to delete the photo, and upload it in the right business listing.
A photo appear to be located on an “Unknown place” in two cases:
- If you added one or more photos when creating a place, and your edits have been not applied.
- If the place associated to the photos have been removed from Google Maps. This normally happen (I can’t say anything about your specific case, because we don’t have a link to your profile in Maps) when the place do not exist (e.g. location created only to append photos in there, not appropriate listing, etch)
To get a more specific answer, can you link some of your photos here?

I have this problem too. Recently several photos, which I had uploaded months earlier and attached them to their correct location, now appear as Unknown place. Someone else has clearly marked the photos to change their status. Why would someone do this? The photos were attached to their correct locations. Someone unknown to me can detach them from their locations without my knowledge or any consultation. That is outrageous. How do we deal with this?
