It has been a while a posted here, I started as a Google Local Guide while living in the Northern part of Nigeria. Back then there weren’t a lot of map contributions of Northern Nigeria, so I jumped in and helped!
After moving to Lagos, Nigeria, I realised it had a more active community, so I relaxed my efforts and only contributed to places that needed it. I was trying to resettle back into a busy city, so I needed all the focus I could muster!
5 years since my slow down, I am in a better place and I can’t wait to start contributing all over again! I am looking to plan a photo exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria with a theme: “Everyday Nigeria is Beautiful” as my way to break back into the scene. Excuse me if this is poorly categorised, it has been a while since I leveraged the community
My plan for the photo exhibition would be people sharing mobile street photography style pictures of Everyday Nigeria that celebrate her culture, beauty and her rich and diverse Everyday experiences. Then at no cost to those participating, I’ll print and frame selected pictures to exhibit in Lagos, Nigeria.
Anyone interested in helping me make this work? There’d be goodies involved!
Here are pictures of some of my sample frames (excuse the tilt/orientation of the picture, iPhone pictures have this orientation bug):
I will be glad to participate. Please kindly add a mobile link or a Google shared album link where we could submit our photos for your challenge. Welcome. @Osioke
Welcome back to connect. A pity you relaxed because we miss you. Look forward to more posts from you hence . You didn’t need to relax really there is room for all local guides to contribute.
Is the exhibition some kind of meet up or something? All the best.
Great to see you back on Connect after nearly 4 years of absence @Osioke . From reading your post I knew that it would create some interest @EmekaUlor@Ewaade_3A@SholaIB and I’m sure many others will follow. Wishing you and the project the best.
