I just had an idea. I have no idea if its even allowed or worth doing. Discuss.. i would put on a photo contest for the best photo uploaded to maps. I can be the judge or a group of us. I have no problem rewarding the winner, runner up with some prize or gift. Any thoughts? Just thought of something to add excitement is all.
Sounds good to me. But please make sure the quality criteria are well defined.
Part of the evaluation could be done by the photo selection AI.
@MortenCopenhagen yes, that part is not too hard, however picking the best photos is extremely subjective lol.
Oh what a great and exciting idea @StevenBerlin. As it would be very subjective, I totally agree with @MortenCopenhagen, the “quality” criteria needs to be well defined. However, I’m not sure about having part of the evaluation done by AI, I mean you’ve only got to look at the star photos and star videos selected by AI to understand what I mean here. Also, how to showcase entries will need some thought. The other point I would make is that something like this might need to be run by the Local Guides Team.
