Phan Thiet Mid-Autumn Festival lantern parade - Vietnam 2026

The 2026 Phan Thiet Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival promises a vibrant celebration, highlighted by two consecutive nights of festivities: a provincial-level event on the evening of September 24 (the 14th day of the eighth lunar month) at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square —themed “Colors of Lam Dong – Under the Same Moon”—followed by the “Full Moon Festival” hosted by Phan Thiet Ward itself on the night of the full moon, September 25, around the Phan Thiet Water Tower area.

The atmosphere will be brought to life by a spectacular parade featuring approximately 30 large-scale lanterns—depicting iconic symbols such as the Phan Thiet Water Tower, dragon fruit, and the “carp turning into a dragon”—alongside over 2,000 handheld lanterns carried by local students.

The procession, accompanied by the lively, rhythmic beats of drums for Lion, Unicorn, and Dragon dances, will wind through the city streets, while a diverse local food fair will offer a wide array of treats, drawing in large crowds of residents and visitors alike.
