Estoy francamente enfadado con este tipo de actitudes, no puedo entenderlo, te hacen un regalo, y solo piensas en monetizar este, que pena, después la gente se queja que donde estan sus regalos… Viendo esto prefiero que dejen de darlos. Lo siento pero alguien tenía que decirlo.
No creo que merezcan estar en esta comunidad, no han entendido nada.

Due to this kind of people, the value of the Google pin and others are being diminished.

This bothers me for two reasons. I’m upset that people that are selling this don’t value the reward and what it means. And the people that are buying this may just want to flex it like they received it for their “achievements”. It’s kind of sad in both ways and I pity the ones that do this.
This is a unjustified act .
I think Google maps should establish some rules and regulations with the rewards from the Google maps for local guides like Local Guides can’t sell their rewards etc…If anybody violate it,they should be punished like banning from local guides for some times or something.

Horrible! Realmente no puedo creer con la cantidad de gente que desea tener algún reconocimiento algún día y las personas van y venden esos regalos por internet, no lo merecen! Además, seguramente esos nombres de los pines publicados deben ser falsos, para que no los distingan en la comunidad…

@CamilaPardo lo más triste es que no he tan siquiera profundizado en el tema, simplemente buscaba curiosidades per la plataforma de venta, el problema puede ser mucho mayor de lo que parece, y si, a mi tampoco me cabe en la cabeza la cantidad de gente que si que apreciaría un detalle como ese y lo que representa simbolicamente, me incluyo, para que tengamos intrusos estropeando nuestra comunidad. Muy penoso y una verdadera lástima.

We are in the same position.
We are very disppointed with some body who sell this prestigious pin.
But I think it just a bunch of people who try to make some money by selling that kind of pin.
I think it is the fake one or they imitate the pin.
Is it the right time for Google to appreciate Local Guides with pin or badge with serial number and sertificate ?
So it can be traceable to a Local Guide by name or id number ?

You could look at this differently.
The fact that someone might be willing to pay 42 USD + shipping for a one of these pins is a testement to how valuable this tiny perk is considered to be by Local Guides and those who receive them.
I doubt it costs more than 1-2 dollars to mass-produced one.

Definitely right said @MortenCopenhagen it’s proud to LG how valuable & prestigious like any other pin, A person can buy from the market but cannot earn through his own hard work. 
A nuestro nivel, sería como si un actor se vendiera un Oscar, o un jugador de la NBA un anillo, valen más de lo que cuestan producirlos, pero no deja de ser penoso. Yo mismo tengo los primeros calcetines que recibí guardados como un tesoro… La gorra de Guiding Star está a otro nivel, la estoy disfrutando en cada excursión que hago. Pero cada uno que haga lo que quiera, … Pero a mi no me gusta la idea.
