Can any one tell me about the perk given to local guide of level 6 :sweat_smile: :joy: :heart_eyes: :kissing_smiling_eyes: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :money_mouth_face:

Thanks for asking. There is really no partiular perk for any particular level as far as I know. I got a pair of socks for a perk as a level 5 local guide though but really being a local guide is a voluntary thing and there is more to enjoy and benefit especially on connect and google map etc than perks. Get more fun and participation and enjoy the adventure. Will tag @Bobiisha for further explanations. Thanks.

Perks are offered to Local Guides from time to time as a thank you for contributing great content on Google Maps. You may receive a perk because you’ve consistently shared high-quality contributions, reached a certain level, or often review a category related to a perk. Perks may be offered to Local Guides in particular regions. But there is no perk corresponding to a determine level.

Some Local Guides enjoy early access to new product features and rewards from Google partners and these awards are available worldwide or by region. However, keep in mind that our program is absolutely volunteer and there is no financial compensation of any kind. Check for more information on this link.

How are you mam? Hope you are healthy with your family.Actually Earlier I recieved a gmail that asks me to fill my details for the perks(google socks :socks:) to be given to me as a reward,I entered and waited eagerly for 8 weeks,but I didn’t recieved them so I enteres the form again and mentioned that I haven’t revieved them till so they asked me that this time it would be sent to you but still till the day they aren’t being sent to me.Thus just demotivates us that we are doing alot hardwork :crazy_face: and google is lying to us anout perks being sent to you…

I have also mentioned earlier that last year I got a mail to recieve google socks :socks: as local guide perk but didn’t recieved them then I re-entered the form and waited eagerly for them as it is like a motivation for me,still not got them,Then I mentioned this in your community desk and they responded me with a mail that due to covid 19 our warehouses are shuttes down so we will surely deliver them to you ASAP but still I haven’t got them,Please do something,This demotivates me and here goes my all hardwork in vein,So please deliver :mailbox_closed: my perk to me,Waiting for it eagerly. :heart: :heart_eyes:

Hello I am also at local God level six and I would like to know more about getting these perks as I have not received any yet.

Thanks for reaching out to us!

As you can see from my previous comment, the program is voluntary and there is no promised reward for participating in it or for reaching a certain level. However, sometimes rewards are available and given as a ‘‘thank you’’ from Google for your helpful contributions. You can read all about it in this article.

To maximize your chances of being eligible for a future reward opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps and make sure to update your email preferences.
